Shartak MetaMap

After only 24 hours, i'm amazed at how much has been revealed (map after 24 hours). Thanks for all the submissions, everyone! Keep them coming!

About the Map:
This map is a composite of all the maps that have been submitted by Shartak players. The white dot indicating player location has been replaced with the closest colour.

It is definitely possible for someone to submit a bogus map. If you think this has happened, please let me know - i keep track of all the submissions and can reverse the effects. I currently log all the standard web data, like ip address, but hopefully won't have to start blocking ips due to abuse. Of course, sometimes abuse can be funny (haha, 15.203.169.126).

The script implementing this metamap is very beta. If you see anything wierd, please let me know.

By the way, anyone else think the island of Shartak looks like Hispaniola?

Matt Cooper has written a GreaseMonkey script which allows a player to overlay a transparent version of the MetaMap with the player's current map - it can give you an idea of where you are in the big picture.

Submit a map:

• View your character's map, right click the image and select "Save Image/Picture As..." to save the image to your computer. If it's an option, be sure to select 'PNG' for the file type.
• In the form below, click "Browse" and choose the image you just saved.
• In the form below, click "Submit Map" and wait a few seconds.
• If the image is the right size, it will get merged with the existing metamap; if it is not the right size, or if there are any other errors, you should see an error message - if this looks bad, let me know about it.
